Samsudin began his career in the Manufacturing Industry practicing Industrial Engineering.  He holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University, Illinois and later continued his academic pursuit with a Professional Diploma in Training and Development from University Malaya, a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Strategic Management from The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, and a Masters in Corporate Communication from University Putra Malaysia. 


Samsudin served the Telecommunication industry for 12 years in various capacities.  Starting as an Industrial Engineer documenting processes and setting work standards in 1991, he moved to Manpower Planning, HRIS, and Personnel Administration.  He was involved in a number of Human Resource Development projects including introducing Performance Management System and Quality Management System.  His last role before leaving the industry was in Performance and Consequent Management.  It was during this engagement that he became interested in people development, having involved in various projects which required him to design and deliver training, as well as providing consultation to various departments in implementing the HR systems.

To pursue his interest in people development, Samsudin joined the Takaful industry in 2002 as a People Developer, serving leading Takaful Operators until 2011.  In this industry, he introduced structured development program which align individuals to organizational philosophy, strategy and performance.  He also championed the corporate culture development.  Some of the programs that he had helped developed and delivered include in the area of Leadership Development, Performance Management, Strategic Alignment, Values Inculcation, and Team Building.  He was a licensed trainer for his organisation to deliver 7 Habits of highly effective people® and 4 Disciplines of Execution®. He had also served in Academic Advisory Panels for School of Office Management & Technology and School of Business Administration at UiTM. He also served as Industry Expert for Islamic Banking & Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM), representing the Takaful Sector.

Since leaving the corporate world, Samsudin has been involved in various training & development projects as well as HR consulting assignments.  His current passion is on People and Organisation effectiveness. He believes that human resource development should start from the earliest possible stage of human development.
